A piece of natural history in your layout. These are the remains of tree trunks that died on the peat bog anywhere from several hundred to several thousand years ago. The part that was below the surface of the moss was naturally preserved in the oxygen-free environment, giving the wood its unique character and high density.

These stumps are perfect for creating powerful vertical or horizontal elements in your hardscape. They provide a heavy, stable contrast to more lively and branchy roots. Use them to create dramatic scapes reminiscent of a ”dead forest”, or let them represent rock formations like Halong Bay or Avatar-like environments.

Tip: Thanks to the naturally weathered surface, javamossa and other epiphytes adhere extremely easily to these objects.

Origin: Old Bogwood (peat bog).
