This design consists of a well-branched roots that give an impression of a tree.
Use: It is a versatile root that works as a single centerpiece in smaller aquariums, or in groups to create a forest feel in larger tanks. By combining upright roots with some that are ”toppled”, you can create a natural and dynamic effect.
A single larger root can be used horizontally as a centerpiece in the same way as a Rootflow. In larger Iwagumi style aquariums, a smaller horizontal root can act as an eye-catcher, rising out of a carpet of, for example, needle grass. Turning the root downwards from above creates a striking design for biotope or ”nature aquarium” styles, where the roots appear to descend from the water surface.
Javamossa, Flame moss and similar epiphytes adhere easily to the surface.
