About the plant
Pogostemon deccanensis, formerly Pogostemon erectus, comes from India and forms compact groups of light-green, needle-like stems. The plant grows around 15–40 cm high but only 1–3 cm wide per stem, creating a distinct vertical rhythm. It works as a background and as a defined focal point in both small and large groups. Growth is moderate, but the root system is vigorous.
Planting and care
Provide intense light to keep the shoots compact. Trim regularly and replant the cut tops; they root readily.
