About the plant

Crinum thaianum is a distinctive Thai bulb plant in the lily family. Its long, strap-like leaves can reach 60–200 cm and create sweeping lines through a large aquarium. It is otherwise undemanding, but needs ample room to look its best. Older specimens may send a flower stalk to the surface and develop an elegant, fragrant lily-like flower.

Planting and care

Plant so the upper two thirds of the bulb remain visible; a buried bulb may rot. Choose a spacious position where the very long leaves can spread out.
