About the plant
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis is a grass-like plant from South America that can create a dense, natural foreground. In strong light it remains around 4–7 cm high and grows together into a clear lawn effect. It suits open areas where the narrow green leaves contrast with stone, wood or broad-leaved plants. The species can also be used in garden ponds and tolerates low salinity in brackish water.
Planting and care
Divide the pot into small clumps and plant them a few centimetres apart. Choose an open, unshaded position; strong light is essential if the plant is to remain low and grow into a dense carpet.
