About the plant
Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' is a colourful South American stem plant whose pink leaf undersides create a striking contrast with the aquarium’s green plants. The stems grow to around 25–50 cm tall and look best in a clearly defined group in the background. Good light deepens the red tones in the leaves, making the plant a warm focal point among stone, wood and fresh greenery. Supplied as a plant in a 5 cm pot.
Planting and care
Provide good light, steady nutrition and added CO2 for the best colour and growth. Pinch or cut off top shoots and plant them in the substrate; the mother plant responds by producing more side shoots and becoming bushier.
