About the plant
Cyperus helferi is one of the few Cyperus species that performs well fully submerged. It comes from Thailand and forms a 15–25 cm-wide rosette with narrow leaves 20–35 cm long. In an aquarium with good circulation, the leaves move softly in the current to create a calm, grass-like background focal point. Its open shape provides height without feeling heavy.
Planting and care
Provide relatively strong light and added CO2 to support growth. Plant the rosette with space around it, preferably where steady water flow can let the leaves move naturally.
