About the plant
Echinodorus 'Reni' is one of the smaller red sword plants, making it suitable for smaller aquariums too. It grows to around 15–40 cm tall and forms a rosette 15–25 cm wide. New leaves change from warm reddish brown to deep beetroot red, creating a clear focal colour without the plant dominating the whole layout. It is undemanding by nature, but its colour is best when conditions are favourable.
Planting and care
Plant in a nutrient-rich bottom substrate and provide plenty of light and nutrients for the strongest red colour. Leave space around the rosette so new leaves can develop freely.
