About the substrate

Tropica Plant Growth Substrate is a concentrated bottom substrate for newly planted aquariums. It is placed beneath a covering layer of gravel and helps plants develop healthy roots and steady, long-lasting growth. The substrate binds nutrients and makes them available to plant roots. It is neutral and does not affect the water’s KH or pH.

How to use it

Lay a layer around 1 cm thick where plants are to be planted, then cover it with at least 3–4 cm of gravel. Plant through the gravel layer. Avoid disturbing the bottom layers unnecessarily, so the concentrated substrate remains beneath the gravel.
