About the plant
Hygrophila corymbosa 'Stricta' comes from Thailand and develops 15–40 cm tall stems with dense, light green leaves. Several stems planted together quickly create a lush, substantial background. In open aquariums, shoots can grow above the water surface, where the leaves turn blue-green and small blue flowers may develop. This very robust plant is an excellent choice for beginners seeking fast, reliable greenery.
Planting and care
Plant several stems in the background. Cut the tops when they reach the surface and replant them; they soon form new roots. Regularly pinch out shoots if the plant is to remain fully submerged and dense.
