About the plant
Phyllanthus fluitans is a tropical American floating plant with water-repellent, heart-shaped leaves that conceal the creeping stem. Each node carries a single leaf, which distinguishes it from similar Salvinia. Small white six-petalled flowers can develop in good conditions. The more intense the light, the more the leaves shift from green towards warm brown and red.
Planting and care
Provide a calm surface position and sufficient light for clear colour development. Thin as needed so plants beneath the surface still receive light.
