About the plant
Utricularia graminifolia is an Asian aquatic and marsh plant in the bladderwort genus. In nature it lives in nutrient-poor places and has therefore developed small traps that can catch and break down very small organisms. After a short time in the aquarium, these characteristic traps begin forming there too. Its fresh-green, grass-like leaves gradually grow together into a 2–8 cm-high carpet that gives the foreground a very special character.
Planting and care
Plant small portions sparsely across the area and provide strong light, stable CO2 and even water values. The plant is demanding and needs time to establish; avoid major changes while the carpet begins to close.
