About the plant
Ludwigia repens 'Rubin' is a North American variety with striking dark-red leaves and stems. It grows about 20–50 cm tall and 4–6 cm wide and provides a strong colour contrast against the aquarium's green tones. A larger group strengthens the decorative effect and can be shaped into a dense bush by pruning. The plant is fundamentally hardy, but the light level determines how well its colour and lower leaves are retained.
Planting and care
Provide strong light and added CO2 for intense colour and stable growth. Prune regularly for a bushier shape and make sure light reaches the lower leaves so they do not fall off.
