About the plant
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Tropica' is the variety named after Tropica. Its dark leaves have a distinctly hammered texture and lie almost along the substrate when the plant has an open position. The leaves grow to around 10–20 cm, and the rosette reaches 10–20 cm wide, making this variety suitable for smaller aquariums too. Like several other Cryptocoryne from Sri Lanka, it also thrives in hard water.
Planting and care
Plant the rosette in nutrient-rich substrate and leave open space around it for its low, broad growth habit. Leave the plant relatively undisturbed while it establishes.
