About the plant
Eleocharis montevidensis is a fresh green American grass-like plant that grows around 20–40 cm tall. Each blade is only a few millimetres thick, and the stand retains an open, transparent form rather than becoming a dense wall. It suits the background naturally, but can also be placed in open groups further forward to create depth and perspective. Its clean silhouette is especially attractive around stone and vertical roots.
Planting and care
Plant in smaller, loosely grouped clumps. The plant spreads by runners; separate and move new plants if the group needs to be contained, or use them to create new transparent sections.
