About the plant
Hygrophila costata is a South American stem plant that grows around 25–60 cm tall and develops leaves around 10 cm long. Underwater, its relatively narrow leaves are set closely along the stem, creating a full yet linear background. Plants grown above water may have rounder leaves with wider spacing on delivery, but the typical underwater form develops after adaptation. The species was previously called Hygrophila corymbosa 'Angustifolia'.
Planting and care
Plant several stems with a little space between them and provide even nutrition and added CO2. Trim the tops when the group needs to branch or be kept at the desired height.
