About the plant
Hygrophila serpyllum is a low-growing Asian species with small, bright-green leaves and a dense, finely textured character. It can spread like a carpet in the foreground or fill gaps around stone and wood in the midground. Its compact growth creates clear layers in the aquascape without overwhelming taller plants. The fresh colour works especially well against dark hardscape and red-toned species.
Planting and care
Provide moderate light and even conditions. Trim as needed to keep the group low, dense and defined.
