About the plant
Littorella uniflora occurs naturally along lake shores in Europe, North America and South America. Its short, sturdy leaves make the species easy to recognise and gradually form a very distinctive low carpet. Each leaf grows around 2–5 cm long and only 1–3 mm wide. The rosettes readily send out runners and can be used in aquariums, terrariums and garden ponds.
Planting and care
Plant each rosette separately a few centimetres apart. The plant tolerates lower light but then develops longer leaves. Work carefully during maintenance, as the fleshy leaves are easily damaged.
