About the plant
Myriophyllum mattogrossense comes from Mato Grosso in the Brazilian Amazon. Its 30–60 cm reddish stems carry finely divided light-green leaves that unfurl like small fans in good light. A group quickly creates a soft, almost floating background with a beautiful contrast between stem and leaf. The plant is relatively easy to grow, but grows quickly and needs ample nutrition.
Planting and care
Plant several stems together and provide steady nutrition and added CO2. Trim frequently and replant good top shoots to retain a dense, bushy group without shaded lower parts.
