About the plant
Vallisneria 'Gigantea' is an easy-care Asian plant for larger aquariums. Its sturdy leaves, around 2 cm wide, grow to 50–150 cm and often lie along the water surface, creating long, sweeping lines. The leaves are robust and are normally left alone by herbivorous fish. In a nutrient-rich substrate, the plant produces abundant runners and can quickly form an impressive background.
Planting and care
Plant in nutrient-rich substrate and thin out runners when the group becomes too large. Trim or remove older, long leaves before they shade the plants below.
