About the plant
Aponogeton ulvaceus is considered one of the most beautiful species in the genus. Its delicate, light green leaves are transparent with distinctly wavy edges, giving the plant a soft, almost undulating appearance. A thriving bulb can produce more than 40 leaves measuring 30–60 cm long, and the plant can spread to around 50 cm wide. It is best used as a single solitary specimen in a large aquarium and tolerates both soft and hard water.
Planting and care
Provide plenty of space, steady nutrients and preferably added CO2. Some forms need a resting period during which the bulb stops producing leaves; leave it undisturbed in place until growth returns.
