About the plant
Echinodorus 'Rosé' is a beautiful hybrid between Echinodorus horemanii 'Red' and Echinodorus horizontalis, bred by Hans Barth in Dessau in 1986. The plant grows to around 25–40 cm tall, with a rosette 15–25 cm wide. New underwater leaves emerge a soft pink and initially show reddish-brown spots. Its colours create a warm, easy-to-place contrast in the background.
Planting and care
Plant in nutrient-rich bottom substrate for good growth. The plant is otherwise undemanding and well suited to beginners; remove older leaves when the rosette needs shaping.
