About the plant
Hygrophila pinnatifida comes from India and differs from other Hygrophila through its lobed brown-green leaves with a distinctly burgundy underside. It forms horizontal side shoots that readily attach to both wood and stone, enabling it to weave planting and hardscape together in an unusually natural way. The stems reach around 15–40 cm high and 10–20 cm wide. In small groups against a calm background, both the leaf shape and colour play stand out clearly.
Planting and care
Pinch out top shoots to stimulate horizontal, compact growth. Intense light helps the slow- to moderately growing plant remain dense and colourful.
