About the plant
Pogostemon quadrifolius from Laos is a distinctive stem plant closely related to Pogostemon stellatus and is often called Pogostemon stellatus 'Octopus'. Its long, narrow leaves grow in whorls, giving the group a lively, almost octopus-like silhouette. The plant is very easy to care for, grows vigorously under many different conditions and suits both new and experienced aquarists. Its rapid shoot formation makes it easy to create a full background.
Planting and care
Trim regularly to keep the group compact and tidy. Replant the top shoots for rapid, dense growth; side shoots grow slightly more slowly and are therefore well suited to smaller aquariums and nano aquariums.
