About the plant
Rotala wallichii is a fine-leaved Asian stem plant that can create a very elegant, feather-light character. In good light, the shoot tips develop red tones and a larger group becomes a soft yet distinct focal point. The plant works in both the midground and background, and can also be used in smaller aquariums because height is easily controlled by trimming. It needs stable conditions to reach its full potential.
Planting and care
Plant many stems in a group and provide strong light, stable CO2 and soft, slightly acidic water. Trim before the group shades itself and replant good top shoots for a dense stand.
