About the plant
Anubias barteri var. glabra is a beautiful West African variety with long, narrow leaves. The plant grows to around 10–20 cm high from a creeping rhizome that can reach 10–15 cm or more. It thrives under almost all normal aquarium conditions and is especially well suited to shaded positions beneath larger plants. This variety was previously sold under the name Anubias afzelii, which is actually a considerably larger species.
Planting and care
Avoid strong light and preferably attach the rhizome to stone or wood. If the plant is placed on the bottom, the rhizome must be kept free from substrate to prevent rot.
