About the plant
Anubias barteri 'Petite' is a mutation that arose in cultivation at Oriental Aquarium in Singapore. The plant stays under 5 cm tall and develops very small leaves along a rhizome that can reach 5–10 cm or more. It branches readily and can form dense, dark-green groups on stone and wood. Its small scale makes it ideal for nano aquariums, as well as an eye-catching detail in larger aquascapes.
Planting and care
Attach the plant to stone or wood with fine thread until it has attached itself. If placing it on the substrate, never cover the rhizome. Avoid strong light; added CO2 helps this slow-growing plant develop a dense, healthy group.
