About the plant
Cryptocoryne beckettii 'Petchii' is a smaller form from Sri Lanka, with leaves around 10–15 cm long. Its gently wavy leaf edges, dark olive-brown upper surfaces and violet undersides create a warm, natural contrast in the midground. As with many Cryptocoryne, both colour and leaf shape are strongly affected by the aquarium’s light, nutrients and other conditions, giving each established group its own character.
Planting and care
Plant in a nutrient-rich bottom substrate and leave it undisturbed while it establishes. Avoid frequent moves; new leaves gradually adapt to conditions in the aquarium.
