About the plant
Heteranthera zosterifolia is a very beautiful South American stem plant that produces masses of side shoots and quickly becomes dense and bushy. The stems can reach 30–50 cm high and 6–12 cm wide, and the leaf undersides often take on dark tones. In an open aquarium, shoots allowed to run along the surface can develop small blue flowers. Vigorous growth quickly brings volume and a lush, bright background area.
Planting and care
Trim before the group becomes so dense that the lower leaves are shaded. Remove aerial roots forming along the stem, or use the shoots as cuttings.
