About the plant
Hydrocotyle verticillata differs from many other Hydrocotyle by retaining its creeping growth habit underwater. Its round, umbrella-like leaves sit on thin stalks and form a 3–7 cm tall, graphic foreground feature. The plant does not need to root and can also be used floating. It also works in a garden pond and can be grown as a houseplant if the soil is kept moist.
Planting and care
Provide strong light, soft and slightly acidic water, and added CO2 for a low, well-developed carpet. Guide the creeping shoots and trim leaves that exceed the desired height.
