About the plant

Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is an undemanding stem plant with distinctive pink, marbled foliage. The pale leaf veins locally lack chlorophyll, probably due to a harmless virus that does not affect the aquarium's other plants. The stems grow about 20–40 cm tall and 5–8 cm wide. Under suitable light, it develops deep pink colouring that creates a striking yet easy-to-grow contrast in the background.

Planting and care

Provide intense light for the deepest pink colour. Remove shoots that turn completely green, as they can eventually dominate and weaken the marbled appearance.
