About the plant
Limnophila aquatica is a very beautiful South-East Asian stem plant surrounded by light-green, finely divided leaves. In the right conditions, it quickly grows stems 25–50 cm long and up to 15 cm wide. In good light, horizontal side shoots form, making the group dense and bushy. Several stems together create a lush background area, and in open aquariums shoots above the surface can develop small blue flowers.
Planting and care
Plant several stems in a smaller group and provide nutrient-rich substrate and added CO2. Good light encourages side shoots and a more compact character.
