Limnophila hippuridoides – pot, 5-pack

About the plant

Limnophila hippuridoides comes from Asia and develops stems 20–50 cm tall and 6–10 cm wide, with attractive outward-curving shoot tips. The leaves are green with red-violet undersides and may turn entirely red-violet under ideal conditions. The plant grows vigorously and readily produces robust new shoots from the base. It quickly creates a full, colourful background and adapts to a range of aquarium environments.

Planting and care

Thin out the oldest and longest stems to make room and light for new basal shoots. Replant the cut tops; they root quickly. Damaged leaves and stems may give off a distinct smell.
