About the plant

Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' is a narrow-leaved form of the classic Java fern. Its leaves grow to around 10–20 cm long and emerge at a more open angle than those of the standard form, giving the plant a lighter, finer appearance. The rhizome can reach 10–15 cm or more and readily attaches to wood and stones. Its manageable size also makes this cultivar suitable for smaller aquariums.

Planting and care

Attach the rhizome to wood or stone and keep it clear of the bottom substrate. The plant establishes slowly but needs little care afterwards.
