About the plant
Bucephalandra sordidula 'Blue' is a sought-after plant from Borneo’s riverbanks, known for the unusual blue sheen of its leaves. The colour changes with the light, adding a subtle, distinctive detail to stone and roots rather than a garish splash of colour. Its slow growth and rich texture work especially well in natural, jungle-inspired aquascapes. Place it in the foreground or midground where its leaves can be viewed up close.
Planting and care
Attach the rhizome to stone or wood, leaving it uncovered by substrate. Provide low to moderate light; slightly stronger light and added CO2 can enhance the colour but require good algae control.
