About the plant
Juncus repens comes from marsh areas in south-eastern North America and combines a grass-like form with the shapeability and propagation options of a stem plant. In moderate light it develops a pleasant green colour. With unrestricted light and good micronutrient availability, it instead develops warm reddish-brown tones that create a subtle colour shift. Growth is moderate but steady, making the group easier to control than many fast-growing stem plants.
Planting and care
Plant several shoots together and provide steady micronutrients. Good light and added CO2 give more compact growth and clearer reddish-brown colour. Propagate as a stem plant by cutting and replanting top shoots.
