About the plant
Anubias barteri var. nana is a small, attractive rhizome plant from Cameroon that thrives in widely varying conditions. It usually reaches 5–10 cm in height, while the rhizome may grow to 10–15 cm or longer. Long-lived dark-green leaves and slow growth make it a stable feature on roots and stones. It often flowers underwater and is normally left alone by herbivorous fish.
Planting and care
Attach the plant to stone or wood with fine line until it has anchored itself. If planted at the bottom, the rhizome must remain above the substrate or it may rot. Avoid overly strong light, as the long-lived leaves otherwise develop algae more easily.
