About the plant
Anubias barteri var. coffeifolia is a low-growing and highly decorative variety that reaches around 15–25 cm in height. The leaves are distinctly curved between the veins, and new leaves emerge reddish-brown before gradually darkening. The combination of texture and colour makes the plant attractive in both small and large aquariums. Its slow-growing rhizome can reach 10–15 cm or longer, and the plant often flowers underwater.
Planting and care
Attach the rhizome to stone or wood, or plant only the roots in the substrate. Give the plant time to develop and keep the leaves free from algae; herbivorous fish normally leave the robust leaves alone.
