About the plant
Bucephalandra sp. 'Red' is an easy-care epiphyte with dark green to leathery red leaves. Underwater, the leaves develop many small white specks and sometimes a subtle metallic blue shimmer. The wavy leaves grow to around 2–4 cm wide and 4–6 cm long, giving hardscape a rich, fine-scale structure. The plant resembles Anubias in both use and care, and thrives best in lower light.
Planting and care
Attach the creeping rhizome to stone or wood and never cover it with substrate, as the plant may then rot. Give it time to establish and keep the leaves clean of algae.
