About the plant
Cabomba aquatica is a popular South American stem plant with dense whorls of finely divided leaves. The stems grow approximately 30–80 cm tall and 5–8 cm wide and are best displayed in a group, where the feathery foliage forms a soft green background. It is among the more resilient Cabomba species, but becomes sparse and difficult to grow if the light is too weak. Tuskwood therefore classifies the plant as moderately difficult and recommends added CO2 for a stable, lush result.
Planting and care
Remove the anchor, divide the bunch and strip the leaves from the bottom approximately 5 cm of each stem. Plant the stems with space between them in the substrate. Provide good light, consistent nutrients and added CO2; trim and replant healthy tops when the group reaches the surface.
