About the plant
Echinodorus 'Barthii', previously sold as 'Double Red', is a stately specimen plant for larger aquariums. The rosette grows to around 20–30 cm wide, with leaves 25–50 cm tall. The youngest leaves emerge dark red and gradually turn dark green as they mature, giving the plant a lively play of colour. The contrast is most pronounced with good lighting and sufficient micronutrients.
Planting and care
Plant in nutrient-rich bottom substrate and provide good light, micronutrients and preferably added CO2. Remove older or shading leaves at intervals so plants below receive light.
