About the plant
Egeria densa is a classic beginner plant with vigorous growth and a fresh green colour. The stems grow approximately 40–100 cm tall and 2–4 cm wide. By quickly absorbing nutrients from the water, the plant can help create balance and reduce the opportunity for algae in a newly established aquarium. Growth continues even under less favourable conditions, but the colour becomes paler and the stems thinner.
Planting and care
Remove the anchor, divide the bunch and strip the leaves from the bottom approximately 5 cm of each stem. Plant with space between them in the substrate. Trim back long shoots often and replant healthy tops for a denser group.
