About the plant
Proserpinaca palustris 'Cuba' is an expressive stem plant from Isla de la Juventud off Cuba. After a transition period in the aquarium, the serrated leaves seen on delivery develop into long, finely toothed, almost needle-like underwater leaves. In good light, the plant develops a warm copper colour that contrasts clearly with green plants. It grows to about 10–40 cm tall and 5–10 cm wide.
Planting and care
Provide strong light, stable CO2 and steady nutrition for compact growth and clear copper colour. Plant the stems in a small group and trim the tops when the stand needs branching or rejuvenation.
