Vesicularia montagnei ’Christmas Moss’ – on wood

About the plant

Vesicularia montagnei 'Christmas Moss' is a Brazilian moss that grows to around 1–3 cm tall. Its side branches grow in a regular, fir-tree-like pattern that gives it a more defined structure than ordinary Java moss. It grows more slowly and is slightly more demanding, but readily attaches to both wood and stone.

Planting and care

Place the piece of wood where the moss's branching can be seen clearly. Trim it regularly as it spreads to maintain its compact shape.
