About the plant
Anubias barteri var. nana is established on a coconut shell that combines a plant anchor, decoration and hiding place. This Cameroonian plant grows to approximately 5–10 cm tall and develops a rhizome of 10–15 cm or more. It grows slowly, retains its leaves for several years and can flower underwater. Its firm leaves are normally left alone by plant-eating fish. The result is an easy-to-place, long-lived feature that works in many types of aquarium.
Planting and care
Place the coconut shell where the Anubias receives low to moderate light. Keep the rhizome free from substrate and remove older leaves as needed. Its slow growth requires little care and no added CO2.
