Hygrophila difformis – bunt, 5-pack

About the plant

Hygrophila difformis is an easy-care and fast-growing stem plant from Asia. It is well suited to beginners and as an additional or background plant. Its rapid growth absorbs a great deal of nutrients from the water and can therefore help counteract algae. The characteristically lobed leaves form a lush and striking group over time, particularly in larger aquariums. The plant usually grows 20–30 cm tall and 6–12 cm wide. Pale leaves can be a sign of micronutrient deficiency.

Planting and care

Remove the anchor and divide the bunch into individual stems. Remove leaves from the bottom approximately 5 cm and trim off damaged leaves. Plant the stems with a little space between them in the substrate; new roots will soon develop.

Important for shrimp and sensitive animals

Bundled plants are not currently produced in Tropica’s own nursery and therefore cannot be guaranteed free from pesticides. Do not place them directly in an aquarium with shrimp or other sensitive animals. Tropica recommends keeping the plants separately for two weeks, with water changes twice a week.
