About the plant
Crinum calamistratum is an elegant bulb plant from West Africa with very narrow, dark green and strongly crinkled leaves. The leaves can grow 40–120 cm long and move beautifully through the aquarium without forming a dense wall. The species develops smaller bulbs and requires less light than several other Crinum. Over time, thriving plants may form small side bulbs, and the robust leaves are normally left alone by herbivorous fish.
Planting and care
Plant the bulb with its upper part remaining visible, and leave space for the long leaves. The species can also be kept in slightly brackish water with low salinity.
